Singer Aloe Blacc has joined forces with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for the 72 hour #ADollarALifeline campaign, which aims to raise the $64m needed to reinstate food assistance through e-vouchers for Syrian refugees.

Blacc's track I Need A Dollar is the soundtrack for the #ADollarALifeline video, and people are being asked to swap their profile pictures on Twitter and Facebook for a 'badge' representing the one dollar. Ertharin Cousin, WFP Executive Director, said 'With the generous support of Aloe Blacc we can further tell the story of the poor and vulnerable Syrians and how a dollar from someone who cares can make a difference'.
